Sun, March 7, 2004 - 9:56 AMThe fifteen minutes Andy offered seemed like they'd be so much more glamorous and sexy than what reality television has churned out. Ah well. -

Re: 15 minutes
Thu, July 8, 2004 - 3:49 PMi just joined and thought I'd add my $.02 to this old thread.
For Warhol, fame *was* glamorous, it didn't need anything else- this was the basis for his screen tests- he took nobodies and turned them into SuperStars just by putting them on film.
His timecapsules were also a testament to this obsessive desire not to be forgotten- he kept EVERYTHING. random notes, receipts, invitations, press clippings, they all were of equal importance. If he'd been in love with glamour, per se, i imagine he would have been much more selective in what he put into these things, he would have done everything to make sure he was seen in a soft, glowing light.
