It seems like they get more like 15 seconds, thank God.

The fifteen minutes Andy offered seemed like they'd be so much more glamorous and sexy than what reality television has churned out. Ah well.

i just joined and thought I'd add my $.02 to this old thread.

For Warhol, fame *was* glamorous, it didn't need anything else- this was the basis for his screen tests- he took nobodies and turned them into SuperStars just by putting them on film.

His timecapsules were also a testament to this obsessive desire not to be forgotten- he kept EVERYTHING. random notes, receipts, invitations, press clippings, they all were of equal importance. If he'd been in love with glamour, per se, i imagine he would have been much more selective in what he put into these things, he would have done everything to make sure he was seen in a soft, glowing light.
